A few weeks ago, my family and I took a drive down to the local Homestead-Miami Speedway, which has since 2002 hosted the finale for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series.
The event of the day was a 500-lap race for an independent league called Formula & Automobile Racing Association, which hosts a driving academy that I would totally participate in if it weren’t for the hefty admission fee.
My dad isn’t the biggest motorhead, but my grandfather is, and they would frequent speedways in Buenos Aires, Argentina quite often.
Coming out to the Speedway on a bright Sunday morning surely had some significance for him, especially considering he got a chance to talk with some of the drivers after the race.
Check out the gallery for some of my favorite shots. I’ll post my top few on Instagram as well.
